/Galerie Gilla Loercher is looking forward to the art project of the Austrian artist
SUSANNE SCHUDA starting August 29th.
"The international party of the Sensitive makes no politics, has no concrete goals and offers no negotiable solutions. The international party of the sensitive is a perceptual society that strives for a transnational organizational position in the medium term. We live in a complex and fragile system that produces an intense emotional backlog with blatant valve systems. The international sensitive have recognized the signs of the times and are ambivalent and over-funded in their way. They do this in order to feel even more intensely what is actually going on here. The strength of the sensitive is to perceive their own and global ambivalence and dilemma - without turning away from the world or from life. The international party of the sensible prevents the big outbreaks. Because in the end it is about the whole thing. But what is the whole thing? The international party of the sensitive wants to ask the right questions in order to make it easier for you as a potential party member to answer”, writes Susanne Schuda. Susanne Schuda's art project is just beginning, she is still almost alone in the party. The exhibition in the Galerie Gilla Lörcher is the starting signal for the interdisciplinary and multimedia entanglement with the world. The party's sensitive system manifests itself in the gallery space, and visitors are given the opportunity to join the movement officially or unofficially. Susanne Schuda aka "Schudini the Sensitive" will give a speech and we all hope that her fragile lectern will withstand the intense emotions of the world. In addition, one of the first sympathizers will be speaking - Dr. Irini Athanassakis as the party's financial expert, via a hopefully stable Skype connection from Greece.
Susanne Schuda works in the fields of video, installation, digital collage, text, web, public art and performance. She studied in Vienna at the University of Applied Arts with Valie Export and Peter Weibel. The artist lives and works in Berlin and Vienna.
Susanne Schuda's work has been presented in numerous institutions and galleries: Studio of the Neue Galerie Graz; T-K-Lang-Gallery, Webster University, Vienna; MediaNoche, New York; Gallery Dana Charkasi, Vienna; Generali Foundation, Vienna; Kunsthaus Graz; Media tower Graz; EMAF, Osnabrück; MONA, Detroit; Lothringer Laden, Munich; 98 weeks, Beirut, Salzburger Kunstverein; 1000 Plateau Gallery, Chengdu, China; IMA, Lower Austria; Brut, Vienna; Donaufestival, Krems; Kunsthaus Graz; Vierte Welt, Berlin; Berlin Art Prize Nominees exhibition, district, Berlin a.o.
The artist was awarded the Austrian State Scholarship and the Marianne von Willemer Award for Digital Media (Linz). In 2015 she was nominated for the Berlin Art Prize 2015.
